C&IT Awards
We are proud to announce that we have won two industry awards in one week. The Award for C&I Business Solution for One Young World.
We were also nominated for two other categories for the same event. The Sustainable Event Solution and International Conference of the Year and were commended for both competing against some stiff competition.
One Young World is the premier global forum for young people of leadership calibre.
Founded in 2009 by David Jones of Havas and Kate Robertson of Euro RSCG its purpose is to connect and bring together the brightest young people from all over the world ensuring that their concerns, opinions and solutions are heard and taken into account by those in power, in government, business or any other sector. It has been described as the “Junior Davos.” This inaugural summit in London 2010 brought together for the first time 800 young leaders from 119 countries and from the outset it established itself as a high profile global initiative.
Marketing Design Awards
We are proud to announce that we have won our second award, in partnership with Communication by Design. The Award for Best Brand Experience was for the design and build of the Android Booth at the Mobile World Congress 2011 for Google.
The Android themed playground, complete with giant green Androids and collectable pin badges, a themed Smoothie Bar and even a snaking slide, ensured it was one of the most popular booths at this year's Congress. In the first two days the stand received more than 14,000 visitors and attracted 35,000 electronic mentions; one quarter of which were specific to the stand.

One Young World - Zurich
One Young World was founded in 2009 by David Jones of Havas and Kate Robertson of Euro RSCG; its purpose is to connect and bring together the brightest young people from all over the world ensuring that their concerns, opinions and solutions are heard and taken into account by those in power, in government, business or any other sector. It has been described as the “Junior Davos.”
This second summit event in Zurich Switzerland in September brought together 1500 young leaders from 171 countries; a considerable 30%+ growth in both delegates and countries from the previous year.
BGC Charity Day 2011
2011 marked the 10th Anniversary of 9/11 so was especially poignant and the event was a huge success. HRH Prince Harry took to the phones and smashed the World Record for the biggest forward foreign trade deal in history and celebrities including Boris Johnston, Kelly Brook, Jaimie and Harry Redknapp, Eva Hertzigova, Chris Evans and Cherie Blair, also got on the phones and made trades with existing BGC clients.
A reported 12 million dollars was raised by BGC on the day and continued the global success of the annual event. BrandFuel managed BGC’s ‘live’ broadcasts and celebrity interviews and transformed the 18th floor atrium into an ‘All the Fun of the Fair’ themed party for the charities and children attending… complete with spider monkeys and a llama.

One Young World 2011
One Young World 2010 was an incredibly humbling and yet uplifting experience that is set to be amplified on every scale this year. With Archbishop Desmond Tutu coming out of retirement from public appearances to attend the event and Sir Bob Geldof returning as a counsellor, the summit promises to be spectacular. There are 1500 people attending, including delegates from 194 countries who, between them, have founded and supported projects all around the world. The One Young World summit is a fantastic platform for all of the delegates to inspire positive change in Global Health, the Environment, Leadership, the Media, Interfaith Dialogue and Global Business. One such project is that of Erin Schrode, whose Schoolbag initiative seeks to provide a bag filled with environmentally sustainable school supplies to 11,210 school children in Haiti for back-to-school 2011. This is just one of the many inspirational stories that help keep the BrandFuel team motivated in the face of logistical nightmares!
The incredible creativity and innovation BrandFuel have injected into the conception and evolution of this year’s summit will no doubt continue to foster global change for the better brought about by the young delegates.
As the summit nears, we will keep you posted on any new One Young World news. Until then my friends, live long and prosper.

New Office
Our values of working hard and playing harder are rather evident with the addition of a conference room table that doubles as a surface for ping pong. No one ever said that work couldn’t be fun, and if they did we probably wouldn’t listen. Some of our new windows display a beach far away, just to provide that extra dose of imagination.
Valued mementos of past events now decorate the studio in displayed storage. Green robots, Guinness World Records, and a beating Kraken heart are just some of the fixtures you can see lining our walls as daily reminders of a job well done. It has taken time to get our updated facility up and running, but at BrandFuel we always enjoy the journey of taking something and making it better, especially when it’s something that can help us help you.
Imbibe
Brand Fuel’s exhibition was the talk of the show, as Kraken Black Spiced Rum, Hangar One Vodka, Zubrówka Bison Grass Vodka, and Maestro Dobel Tequila all delivered an experience unlike any other present.
The bravest of visitors were able to confront the mythical Kraken beast through an inventive walkthrough video display. The fun continued with talent from the Royal Shakespeare Company portraying a seasoned Kraken hunter, who proudly showcased his latest trophy of a beating heart extracted from the beast. While the mighty Kraken is certainly not for the faint of heart, the stand did warm the hearts of many. Kraken proved to be a monstrous hit, by this meaning the rum of course.
All of Marblehead’s participating brands provided generous samples for an enjoyable tasting. Hangar One Vodka wowed the competition with their fruitful flavours instilled through the unique taste infusion process.
The presentation of a stunning stand and playful environment cemented the exhibition as a hub of activity. Overall Imbibe Live was an enriching experience for all in attendance. Just another day at the office filled with creativity, fun, and innovation for the team here at BrandFuel.
